Ingredients:

1 stick unsalted butter

½ cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

2 large eggs (room temperature)

2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a large bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda. In another bowl, beat together the butter with both sugars until fluffy.

Beat in salt, vanilla, and eggs until well combined. Mix in the flour mixture and add chocolate chips.

Make drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough 2 inches apart onto parchment paper-lined baking sheets. (Instead of parchment paper you can spread butter and flour on pans)

Bake until cookies are golden brown around the edges but soft in the middle, 8 -10 minutes.

Transfer the cookies to a wire rack or cool plate and let them cool.
