Everyone has a poem that just gets to them, Medusa is that poem for me. There's such depth, so much meaning, symbolism… Medusa, for me, is the epitome of Sylvia Plath. When I found this beautiful recording of her reading the poem, I just knew this is what I wanted to illustrate. Plath's reading is music in and of itself, everytime I listen to this I get goosebumps. This animation is my attempt of translating those feelings into images, but what truly matters here are the words. Watch it once, but listen to it twice.
