Written by William Ernest Henley, Invictus was Nelson Mandela's favourite poem. Whenever he would feel like giving up, he would read it. The poem can be seen as a message of hope and revolution. It brings the idea of independence and freedom. That way I connected it to the fight for freedom that black people fought for.
